City and County Rental Data
To provide guidance to planners and housing market analysts, we provide data on rents for multi-family units classified as market-rate or affordable in buildings with at least five units for cities and at least 20 units for counties. These data are provided for cities and counties where available as of the end of the preceding quarter and will be updated on a quarterly basis. Some of the cities and counties listed do not currently have adequate data, but we intend to add data for them as it becomes available.
Affordable units are included to give a better picture of the overall affordability of the rental apartment sector. New units developed within the previous two years are excluded to reduce distortion that might occur during the time required to lease out new units, especially in smaller markets.
