Residential Building Permits and Estimated Completions by Type
The links below provide data on residential building permits obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau and data on housing stock and completions estimated by the Washington State Office of Financial Management. The first link provides annual permit data for counties and census places (cities, towns, and census designated places) for the past 10 years where available as well as monthly year-to-date statistics for the current calendar year. The second link provides annual housing stock data for counties, cities, and towns starting with 2020 and completions data starting with 2020-2021. The permit data are updated on a quarterly basis, while the completions data are updated annually.
